Nuve Escapes keeps its office upstairs at Cornerstone Stores, in shops 10 and 11 at 570 Gold Coast Highway, Tugun, a short move up the road from the Currumbin beachfront where the business spent its early decades. Nuve is a boutique holiday-letting agency for the southern end of the Gold Coast, with self-serviced homes in Palm Beach, Currumbin, Tugun, Bilinga and Kirra. The office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, and the phone number is listed as a 24-hour service.

The family behind Nuve has been part of Currumbin for a long time. The parent company, Lin Corr Pty Ltd, was founded in 1949 by father and son Lin and Bruce Corr, and the business is now in its fourth generation, which makes it the Gold Coast's longest established vacation letting agency. In the early days the focus was local sales and acreage, including land that became Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Currumbin RSL. The very first office stood a few steps from the sand at Currumbin, and that stretch of coast is still the centre of gravity for the whole collection.

The homes are curated rather than collected. Nuve deliberately keeps the list small, choosing houses and apartments it can look after properly and build a long relationship around, and the range runs from a light one-bedroom Tugun hideaway for two, through apartments and units at Bilinga and Currumbin and a retreat above the sand at Kirra, to a three-level, five-bedroom Currumbin house that sleeps eleven. There is an off-grid escape in the hinterland too, for anyone wanting to disappear for a few days. Photography and video are produced by Nuve's in-house media team.

This is a corner of the coast worth knowing well, and knowing it well is rather the point of Nuve. Currumbin Alley is a gentle place to learn to surf, while the beachfront on the far side of Currumbin Rock holds a more consistent wave for experienced surfers. Currumbin has been named Australia's cleanest beach, the Valley behind it has freshwater rock pools and rainforest walks about ten minutes inland, and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been part of local childhoods for more than sixty years. Gold Coast Airport is ten minutes away at most, the theme parks 30 to 40 minutes, Brisbane about an hour, and Robina Town Centre and Pacific Fair around 20 minutes north.

Nuve also puts work into the parts of a holiday that are not the house. The team curates local experiences for guests, and the pick of them is The Quince Experience, a private dining night built with their friends at Quince and offered only to Nuve guests: chefs, waitstaff or a mixologist as needed, and wine, cheese and deli from Quince's providore, all set up in your own holiday home. It might be an ocean-front South American barbecue with a hand-picked wine pairing, a six-course dinner for the family, or a tapas spread and craft beer on the balcony under a clear Gold Coast sky.

For owners, Nuve offers full holiday-letting management with a deliberately small book of properties. Every home is assigned its own cleaner, who gets to know the house properly, and owners get their own portal with a real-time availability calendar and a clear view of bookings and income. An in-house media team handles the photoshoots and video that make a listing stand out, the team is at conferences often enough to keep pace with a fast-moving industry, and there is a free ebook covering pricing, setup and the usual headaches for anyone still deciding whether to let their place at all.
